How to order
With your Volvo Diplomat & Expatriate Sales representative, you will review all the available models, options and accessories of the Volvo of your choice. Once you have selected your desired specifications, Volvo Military Sales will provide you with a Special Diplomat & Expatriate Price for your vehicle, delivered to the location of your choice. Volvo Diplomat & Expatriate Sales will also include when available the relevant Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP), to allow you to fully compare the savings through the Volvo Diplomat & Expatriate Sales Program.
Timescale
The time an order takes depends on a number of factors including available production slots at the factory. Further information will be provided to you once we know your intended timescales. Once the car has been built it takes 4-6 weeks for delivery to the US depending on its destination (8 weeks for Hawaii and Alaska). UAE and other delivery locations vary, so please contact your local Volvo Diplomat & Expatriate Sales representative for details.
When to order
As the majority of our Volvo Diplomat & Expatriate Sales vehicles are ordered to each customers exact specifications, we generally require a minimum of 3 months to deliver car. We can, however, order a new Volvo for delivery throughout the current model year, which means for example, a customer ordering from Volvo Diplomat & Expatriate Sales in October 2010 could order a new Volvo for a delivery date in the US of June 2011.

In the UAE
It is possible to have your new Volvo delivered to the UAE. Alternatively, you could elect to have your new Volvo shipped directly from the factory to your next posting or transfer around the globe.
In Europe
Our special VIP factory delivery service in Gothenburg, Sweden, is an experience in itself. But if you don't have the time to pay us a visit in Gothenburg, don't worry. We have a number of delivery facilities at key locations throughout Europe including:
Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Geneva, Helsinki, London, Madrid, Munich, Paris, Stockholm and Vienna.
You decide where, when and how - and your new Volvo will be waiting for you.
In North America
Are you planning to move to North America? We make sure your new Volvo is shipped directly from the factory to the USA - with marine insurance, customs clearance and import duty included in the bargain. We also make sure you can pick up your Volvo at your nearest Volvo dealer in the US.
And the programme includes even more. If you would like to drive your Volvo in Europe before leaving for North America, simply tell us where you would like to have your Volvo sent in the US. Then leave the car at any one of more than twenty strategically located European drop-off points and Volvo will arrange forward shipment on to the USA and direct to your local Volvo dealer.
Rest of the World
It is possible to have your new Volvo shipped directly from the factory to virtually any port around the world. Shipping is covered by full marine insurance (unless otherwise advised) and individual containerisation is available for many destinations.
